When we look back in American History it seems evident that more than a few of our founding fathers really had a deep love for the new nation. It is increasingly rare to find leaders today who give you a sense that they really love their city, state or country. More often than not civic leaders today seem more concerned with themselves and their political careers than with the people they supposedly serve. I had the privilege of meeting someone recently who actually appears to genuinely love the city and state in which he resides. He is Dr. Randy Peck. Randy has such a love for his city Culpepper and Virginia that it exudes out of him in almost every conversation he holds. It is said that one speaks out of the abundance of his heart and I can testify that Dr. Peck has both Culpepper and the state of Virginia deep in his heart. I have never met someone who has such a genuine love for his city and state as this man.

Hi Randy & Julia, AJ and I can't thank each of you enough so that you would know how much you blessed us over the weekend. You are such a great couple. Your hospitality was tremendous and we really enjoyed just being in your home and company. Your group really blessed AJ and me. It is truly the first success story we have had. To Whom It May Concern:

It has been my pleasure to work with and call Dr. Peck my friend and colleague for the past twelve years.

Dr. Peck brings many innate qualities that are essential for a successful person. His organizational skills are without equal - no one I’ve ever met has been more organized yet thoughtful of any task before him. He has shown himself to be a quick problem solver, with patient care and safety his primary concern. Many patients, unknown to them, have benefited by his ethical and moral principles related to their care. His patients are people not procedures.

An outstanding personal character trait is the simple- his word is his bond, he always did what he said he would do and worked tirelessly to fulfill his obligations both on an administrative and personal level.

A great team player he gave freely of himself to instruct, but was also willing to listen to others- he could see the Big Picture through the prism of all the necessary details.
I have no doubt Dr. Randall J. Peck will be successful in any endeavor he pursues. He will be a valuable asset any cause or organization he joins.

If I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to call.

Sincerely,

To Whom It May Concern:

I have known Dr. Randall J. Peck since my arrival at Culpeper Memorial Hospital ten years ago. I am a general surgeon who does roughly thirty OR cases a month. In addition, I have served as Department of Surgery Chairman for two of those ten years (anesthesia is a subset of the Surgery Department here) and I have served as Medical Staff President for an additional two of those ten years. I have had the pleasure of extensive contact with Dr. Peck, both in terms of the frequency of our interactions, as well as depth.. Dr. Peck is an excellent anesthesiologist. He is thorough and conscientious and always keeps the safety and well-being of the patient as a high priority. I feel he has always done an excellent job of caring for even the sickest of patients. I cannot think of any clinical situation or patient who would not be well served with Dr. Peck as their anesthesiologist. I also feel Dr. Peck’s professionalism and ethical standards are above reproach. I was very sorry when he told me that he would be leaving our institution. I am sure he will perform well in any capacity he chooses.

Sincerely,

To Whom It May Concern:

I have been requested to write a letter of reference for Randy J. Peck, M.D. I have been associated with Randy for many years, as a fellow physician, friend, and patient. I have always found him to be compassionate, professional, and knowledgeable in all of his endeavors. I have been in close contact with him as an anesthesiologist on many difficult cases and he has always provided excellent care. I have also had the opportunity to be a patient, with Randy giving the anesthesia, and found it to be an outstanding experience.

Randy is very compassionate and committed to various issues, including technology. He has even formed his own company to help disseminate technology through the local school system. I think that whatever Randy decided to do he will bring professionalism, compassion and intellect to this endeavor.

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing in reference to Randall J. Peck M.D., whom I’ve had the privilege of working with since 1987. Dr. Peck is an extremely competent Anesthesiologist, and a very caring person. He has contributed much to Culpeper Memorial Hospital, not only with his medical expertise, but with his organizational skills and expert computer knowledge.

I respect Dr. Peck, not only for his ability as a physician, but his high moral standards and strong family ethics.

I am very saddened by his recent decision to leave Culpeper Memorial Hospital. I will greatly miss the professional care he provided, and the support and help he offered me.

To Whom It May Concern:

Dr. Randy Peck has been known to me for eleven years. We work closely in the operating room, the post -anesthesia care unit, the ambulatory surgery unit, in the pre-op unit and in the pain clinic. Dr. Peck is exceptional in his organization of time and patient care. His technical skills are excellent in delivering anesthesia care and he s always striving to pre-empt the post -op pain by various methods. His patients wake up easily and are comfortable. Dr. Peck has a great bedside manner and really enjoys getting to know his patients, their families, and shows great concern for their entire surgical process. His assessment of critical patients and their need for intensive care can be relied upon. The various surgeons and emergency room physicians rely on his judgements and opinions. He is frequently called to the intensive care unit to assist in crises also.

As you can see, Dr. Peck can be a real asset to an institution. He has been a good friend to me as well as a teacher and it has been a pleasure to work with him. If I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to call me.

To Whom It May Concern:

I have known Dr. Randy Peck since 1987 when we both worked closely in the Operating Room and more recently in the Preop/Pain Consult setting. Randy is a competent anesthesiologist and demonstrates professionalism and compassion with everyone he comes in contact with. Randy is highly motivated, very goal oriented, and demonstrates impeccable organizational skills.

Randy has not only given much of himself to his profession, patients, and the hospital, but he has also given much to the community. I feel with Randy's many wonderful qualities, he will succeed in whatever he undertakes.
