Biography of Dr. Randy Peck

I started my life with so many blessings - loving parents, a peaceful home, good health, a great career, and a beautiful wife and children. Yet I nearly lost everything I valued when a bad storm came because the foundation of my life was built on sand, not on the solid rock of Jesus Christ. I now realize that it's only by the grace and mercy of Almighty God that I have anything and can do anything of lasting value.

I was born in Fort Lewis, Washington in 1958. Because my father was a career officer in the Army, my family moved frequently while I was growing up. By the time I was 15 years old, I had lived in Europe over half of my life - 8 years to be exact. Soon after that, Virginia became my home.

I graduated from Albemarle High School in Charlottesville, Virginia and then went to the University of Virginia for undergraduate school. After that, I attended the Medical College of Virginia for four years of medical school and three years of anesthesiology training.

At age 40, after practicing medicine full-time for twelve years in a hospital setting, I began experiencing burn-out from the frequent night call and emergency cases. In July 1999, I finally stepped away from my full-time job as an anesthesiologist. My heavenly Father pulled me out of the rat race to allow me time to seek truth, find Him, and then discover and fulfill His purpose for my life.

The greatest blessing ever in my life came on January 6, 2001 when I committed my life to Jesus Christ. Since then I have been experiencing A LIFE OF BLESSING as the Holy Spirit works through me and the Word of God serves as a lamp unto my feet.

When I die, my tombstone will say "He loved Jesus! He loved people!" That will be my legacy!

May God richly bless you my friend!

"A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks."
Luke 6:45
